Smart Glass Technologies Project Earns National Recognition as the Project of the Month for August 2023 by US Glass Magazine.

[Miami, FL, Sep 8, 2023] — Smart Glass Technologies LLC, a leading innovator in the PDLC switchable privacy smart glass industry, is proud to announce that one of its hallmark projects has been selected as the “National Project of the Month” for August 2023 by the esteemed US Glass Magazine. This accolade represents a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards revolutionizing glass technologies for a wide range of applications.
Unveiling the Project
The residents of a beach house in Malibu, Calif., sought to blend privacy, security and stunning beachfront views. The solution was a smart glass fence designed by Smart Glass Technologies.
The PriWatt smart glass fence runs the length of the backyard, protecting the occupants from beach visitors while offering views of Santa Monica Bay. The glass fence can transition from fully transparent to opaque at a button’s touch. The fence was designed using low iron, tempered and ethylene-vinyl acetate laminated glass that is 13/16-inches thick.
The residents can control the transparency of the glass via a controller. However, the fence is programmed to switch to opaque during the night to enhance privacy and security. Westlake Glass carried out the installation. Smart Glass Technology officials were on hand to oversee the low-voltage connection setup.
