Specialized Smart Glass
Shaped panels, cut-outs, oversized layouts and unusual installations. If the glass is not a plain rectangle, it is still switchable.
Overview
Custom is the normal way we work
Every Smart Glass Technologies panel is custom manufactured for the project it goes into. That means shapes, angles, notches and cut-outs are part of the process, not an exception to it.
Shapes and angles
Triangles, trapezoids, arches, circles and gable shapes for roof and feature glazing.
Holes and cut-outs
Openings for hardware, handles, service penetrations and fixings.
Curved and oversized
Curved panels, and large walls built from multiple coordinated panels.

Common questions
Questions about specialized shapes
Is there a shape you cannot do?
There are practical limits tied to size, thickness and the wiring route. Send your drawing and our technical team will tell you what is achievable.
Can several panels act as one wall?
Yes. Large installations are built from multiple panels and can be zoned so they switch together or separately.
Can it be fitted to glass I already have?
Yes, on suitable existing glass we apply our smart film. For new work or replacement glazing we supply complete laminated smart glass panels.
What happens when the power goes out?
Original PDLC is private when the power is off and clear when it is on. Reverse PNLC is the other way around and stays clear in a power failure.
How is it switched?
By wall switch, remote, mobile app, schedule, or integration with a building or access control system.
How much does it cost?
Our published prices start at $70 per sq ft for our smart film and $145 per sq ft for laminated smart glass. See the full breakdown on our smart glass cost page.
How long does it take?
Typical production is 2-4 weeks, with delivery in 5-10 days depending on size and scope.
Do you install it?
Yes. Our certified installers cover cities across the USA and Canada. Check our service areas.
